Really grueling story about what life was really like for the people who wanted to get rich by obtaining gold in the northern territories. This writing is so incredible. Good tension was held throughout through the descriptions. Jack London is a master storyteller. A few words weren't pronounced correctly but it's okay ..it was wonderful to be read to. I like the interweaving of subtle karma too in this story (🤬 Bill!). The very real, ever-present post-traumatic stress disorder that can come from barely surviving. This is man in his rawest of states. Life is the most precious thing we have.
