Leo Tolstoy (1828 – 1910) was a Russian writer. Some of his most famous novels are “Anna Karenina” and “War and Peace”, two staples of realism in literature. He is regarded as one of the greatest novelists of all time by experts, and even other writers such as Virginia Woolf. He has been nominated for many Nobel Prizes of literature. Nowadays, he is still considered a master of his art, but he is also remembered for his great influence in politics, especially in socialism.
